How many students attend Cascade Christian Junior High?
There are currently 190 students in the junior high.
What is the student to teacher ratio?
The average student to teacher ratio is 22:1
What are the teacher
credentials?
All of the K-12 teachers at CCS are Washington State certified and teaching in their field of expertise. The average years for our teachers working in a Christian School are 8.3 years, working in education 10.7 years, and at CCS, 5.9 years.
What are the school hours?
Classes begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at 2:45 p.m.
Is there a school supply list available?
Complete, class specific supply lists will be provided to students by their teachers on the first day of school. Please come prepared with basic supplies on the first day of school.
When will we get my child's schedule?
Schedules will be passed out on registration day. Schedules will also include locker numbers and combinations. Registration day is September 1.
What if we need to make a change to my child's schedule?
You may contact Mrs. Warren in the school office to request a schedule change at 253-445-9706.
What are the options for lunch?
Students may bring a sack lunch or use the lunch program. Lunch cards will be available for purchase on registration day. After that, lunch cards may be purchased before school or at lunch time. Vending machines and microwave ovens are also available for use by the students.
How is the best way to contact my child's teacher?
The best way to communicate with a teacher is through email, if you need to speak to a teacher immediately you may call the office to leave a message for that teacher to return your call on their planning period.
Where can I get more information regarding school policies and procedures?
Additional information is available in the school handbook. The school newsletter the "Cougar Trax" is also a valuable source of information and is emailed to parents weekly as well as posted on the junior high home page.
What athletic opportunities are
there at Cascade Christian?
Girls may try out for the
following sports: Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Soccer, Cheer
Squad, Softball and Track.

What opportunities does Cascade
Christian Junior High offer my student?
CCJH has a solid academic program
while believing that the best education involves the whole child. Therefore, we also offer classes on Leadership skills, Music, and elective
choices. Our school offers a unique program that we call Explore
Term. In the fall and spring students are allowed to take special two day
courses involving various topics such as: No Bake Cooking, Rocketry,
Cartooning, Scrapbooking, and many other fun options. All of these
classes are presented with a biblical perspective.
What are the Leadership Opportunities in Junior High?
Cascade Christian Junior High believes
that leadership development is critical for all of our students. In grades 7
and 8 we have a nine week leadership class which is designed to help each
student gain an understanding of the qualities of a leader and how God has
gifted them to be a leader. The students learn a variety of skills which they
put into practice with practical projects. Our Junior High students also have a
Leadership Impact Period where group dynamics skills, and meeting expectations are
discussed along with other things that help them to lead effectively in school,
home, church and the community.
How do I get involved in the parent
group?
Our Parents for Cascade meet once a month for a event
planning and fellowship time. All parents are welcome!
